Leaving China/Adjusting to America

So it’s been over a week since I’ve left China and found myself in the US. I would say that I’m surprised that I’m not experiencing that much culture shock, but obviously to the amusement of many who think it’s hilarious to see a Brit abroad suffering through a cultural exchange (all tongue-in-cheek!), here I am.

We started off in Pennsylvania, sampling pizza and pretzels, visiting the Rocky statue, and obviously partaking in various historical sightseeing (while I tried not to burst out laughing at every instance of dread inducing “the British are coming”-esque commentary at the National Constitution Centre). Obviously after several days of enriching cultural experiences, the boyfriend insisted that a trip to Taco Bell was necessary. Photo evidence below:
